Enjoying Grammar 7

Day 1: Pg. 14, Topic: The Simple Present and the Present Continuous Tenses.

            -Read the chapter thoroughly.

            - Do the exercises: 1, 2, 3 & 4 (in the book). Use a pencil.

Day 2: Pg. 14, Comprehension: Making Things Simple. Read the text and answer the questions 2, 3 & 4 on pg-20.

            -Also do Exercise A (p 21) and Exercise B (p 22).

Day 3: Write a diary entry about an incident that had happened during the vacation and had a profound impact on you.

 

ENGLISH LITERATURE

 

Day 1 – Who is the author of the novel, ‘Life of PI’? Write about the author mentioning his writing style and achievements with his picture on A4 paper. You may get information online.

Day 2- Read chapters 1-3. List down the main events/ themes mentioned in those chapters in bullet points.

 

BENGALI LANGUAGE

 

Day 1: Write a paragraph on the topic “ Tomar priyo bondhu” within 150 words.

Day 2: Read a Bengali newspaper and write down 5 positive or inspiring headlines from that day’s newspaper.

Day 3: Read “Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain”, pg-40. Write down the English terminologies of 15 hard words.

 

BENGALI LITERATURE

 

Day 1: Read the topic “Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain” on page 40 and write 15 hard words from the topic and find their meanings. You may use the dictionary.

Day 2: Write a summary in 10 bullet points on Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain.

Exploring Science: How Science Works, Page 162-163.

Day 1: Draw the particle model for the three states of matter. Draw small visible circles to represent the particle.

Day 2: Write down four properties for each of the states of the matter.

Day 3: Define Evaporation, Solution, Solute, Solvent and Solubility.

Day 4: Define mixtures with several examples. Draw the filtration process with proper labeling.

Day 5: Define distillation and diffusion. Explain both the processes.                        

 

HISTORY

 

Chapter 1: The age of revolution: Read pgs 2-7

1. On a mind map show the four reasons behind the rise of the nation states.

2. Define the term Nationalism.

3. On a flowchart show the beginning of Parliament.
