BISHWO SHAHITTO KENDRO BOOK READING PROGRAMME 2015-2016

To encourage and build up reading habit among the students, Sir John Wilson School offered the ‘BISHWO SHAHITTO KENDRO BOOK READING PROGRAMME 2015-2016’ to the students of class 6 & 7 where some 128 students participated and read different kinds of Bangla books provided by the  BISHWO SHAHITTO KENDRO. It was a round-the-year programme that started on September 1, 2015 and ended on April 30, 2016. At the end of the programme, the BSK arranged a small test on the contents of the books. After the evaluation by the BSK Evaluation Body, some 17 members were selected for the Swagoto & Shuvechha prizes where 15 students won Swagoto prizes and 2 students won Shuvechha prizes. On May11, 2016, the Principal of the school, Brig Gen Mirza T H Beg (retd) handed over the prizes to the winners in the presence of the VP, faculty members and other administrative staff. The children were very delighted to be awarded. It shall encourage children to read more and more in future.
