Dear Parents,

I take this opportunity to congratulate all of you who are a part of Sir John Wilson School on its 21st Anniversary tomorrow. The school started in 1995 with only 9 students. It was a very humble beginning and we take pride that within its short span of existence, the school has achieved a remarkable success and has been able to establish a permanent school campus for the students. We have always been committed to serve in the best way that we can within our limited resources. We aim to grow academically, intellectually, socially and create opportunity to groom well rounded human beings as the future generation. We recognize your valuable contribution in making the school a success. We look forward to your kind and wholehearted cooperation in our future endeavours.

IGCSE AND IAL RESULTS JUNE 2016

The school is proud to announce that the IGCSE and IAL results for June 2016 have come out and the students have performed exceptionally well.

33 students have appeared in this year’s IGCSE exams from our school. In the IGCSE Exams, a staggering total of 48% students have secured A*, 33% of the students have scored A grade, while 12% have scored B grade and a 5% have scored C grade. It pleases us greatly to see that compared to last year, there has been a considerable rise in the number of A*grades and reduction in C grades this year.

We wish our dear students all the very best, and hope they shine bright in all fields of life.

Eid Vacation: The Eid Vacation will start from Wednesday, 7 September 2016. Students will join school on Sunday, 18 September 2016. We are not going to do the Make- up days for the missed lessons as marked on the School Calendar to avoid the problem likely to arise due to cattle market. We would like to shorten our winter vacation instead to make up for some of the missed days at the beginning of this academic year. We will start our winter vacation from Monday, 26 Dec 2016 to Sunday, 15 Jan 2017 which will give us 5 working days. Classes will resume from Monday, 16 Jan 2017. Please adjust your vacation plan accordingly.

Enrichment clubs:

Enrichment clubs are starting after Eid Vacation. Please encourage your children to join clubs as this will help them to take part and explore new hobbies apart from all academic routine. In today’s world it is essential that children develop their skills in various areas other than just academics. We have seen that it is an integral part of admission requirement in Universities, home and aboard as well.

Hope everyone has a relaxing and wonderful Eid vacation. I thank you once again for being with us and cooperating with us.

Eid Mubarak!
