 30 June 2021

Dear Parents of Class 5 to12,

Hope this notice finds you well. You will be glad to know that we are organising a virtual Talent Show in the second week of August 2021. Usually, we had auditions and practice days before our students’ spotlight performances. However, given our circumstances, we will have a Virtual Talent Show! Students will get the chance to show us all their amazing talents and see the winning performances on the school website! Please see the following instructions and guidelines for your child to participate in this year’s show:

  1. Students may display any talent that is school appropriate - song, dance, beat boxing, shadow dancing, playing a musical instrument , magic act, stand-up comedy, martial art, fruit carving, decorating a cake, puppet show, jump-rope tricks, sport skills etc. There are too many talents to name!
  2. Acts are limited to individual performers. Group performances can take place but each student should perform in their own homes and all the individual clips can be made into one video.
  3. ALL video submissions must be kept within 3 minutes in duration. An application is to be sent to Ms. Khaleda Islam, Administrative Coordinator (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) if more time is required for any performance justifying the reason.
  4. Final videos must be submitted in .mp4 or .mov format by Sunday, 18 July 2021to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Participant and group participants’ names with class and section has to be put in the email body.
  5. All performances will be screened for appropriateness by the Talent Show Committee. Absolutely no profanity, or insensitive subject matter will be permitted. Dance steps should also be school-appropriate.
  6. Costumes must be appropriate. No low cut and transparent attire is permitted. Make up, if worn, should be very minimal. Long tops/shirts for girls would be appreciated.
  7. Please make sure video and sound quality are clear. Also, please use the stand for holding the mobile phone if that is being used to make the video of the performance.
  8. All submissions will be viewed and scored by 3 Judges for the Final Judgement after which the winning videos will be posted on our school website. Certificates will be given to Winners for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and special mention.
  9. Depending upon number of entries, categories will be created. We will try to judge class level wise, but if there are too less entries, we might have to merge two/three class levels.

  10. Unique acts are always appreciated!

  11. Please encourage your child to practice their performance before their final video performance. We want to see where our students’ passions lie and how they can put their best foot forward!

All deadlines and requirements are firm. No extension of deadline for submitting the videos will be made.

Good luck with the competition!

Note: All parents of participating students must give their consent in the email for getting their child’s winning performance showcased on the school website. Without their consent, the School Authority will not be able to display the performance for everyone’s view.

Kind Regards,

Senior Section Administration,
