Celebrating 50 Years of Independent Bangladesh

Bangladesh has recently celebrated its Golden Jubilee of independence and, with due respect, the nation recognized the priceless contribution of our valiant fighters and martyrs. To make it a memorable event, Sir John Wilson School arranged an online Essay Competition on 15 December 2021. Students of Class 4 of the school took part in the competition with much enthusiasm and showcased their profound writing skills. They wrote essays on the selected topic ‘Celebration of 50 Years of Bangladesh’.

It is needless to say that all of the writings were good and informative, which reflected their comprehensive knowledge on the history, culture, heritage, and economic development of their country. More importantly, their writings projected their deep love for their country. All the essays were interesting and well written; however, only a few can be selected for first, second, and third positions, based on the style of writing, presentation of information, and vocabulary.

We are proud to present our young children as talented writers and congratulate them for their active participation in the essay competition. We are looking forward to having more such events to uphold our children’s creative work and help upgrade their level of confidence in the near future.

Warmest congratulations to the winners!
