The Sports Department is having a very busy month. On Friday 17^th February, 2012, the junior students were invited to the American School and enjoyed running, jumping and throwing. Parents and teachers gave maximum support as the students gave their best effort in the different events. We had 40 students participating and came home with 19 medals. Star performances were given by Tashfia Wasima Rahman, class 2 Mars, 1^st in Javelin throw and 6^th in 200m race. Ibnath Fariha, class 4 Seagull, 1^st in Long jump and 3^rd in Javelin throw.

On Saturday 18th, it was the turn of the seniors. Our students were given speedy lessons in shot put, discus, high jump and long jump. On the track they ran with full effort. The 800m runner, Nahiyan Khan had to learn to pace himself if he was to complete the distance. In fact he ran 1km as the officials made an error counting his laps! Senior athletic stars included Nahiyan who came 2^nd in 800m, 4^th in 1500m and Fariha Rubaya Ali and Suha Ali Chowdhury who came 1^st in both shot put and discus.
