Thursday, 7th Sept was a sad day as our beloved Principal bade her final Farewell. Early Years assembled to give her a song and some cards. Years 1&2 sang the School Song so beautifully that Ms Ann had tears in her eyes. Class 3&4 had learnt a new song composed by their music teacher Ms Shamim, "Goodbye, we'll welcome you back". Everyone found this very poignant. The Senior students were represented by Inshirah and Maliyat who shared their thoughts with the assembly. They summed up everyone's feeling when they described how the Principal had been an anchor holding the School fast as it grew from 350 students to 1000 students over ten years. When the Principal spoke, she shared golden memories, including School Shows, Pohela Boishak celebrations, Citywide Soccer Success and the Daily Star Awards. After school, the Board of SSMT hosted a tea party and presented Ms Ann with a silver plate in recognition of her ten years of leadership. Goodbye, Ms Ann. Good luck and we hope to welcome you back one day soon!
