School returned after the winter vacation on 11th January, but class 7 headed out for an adventure on the 12th. In spite of a 7.00a.m. start, it took four hours to reach BARD due to heavy traffic. Once there, students found their rooms, washed up, took lunch and then headed out for a trek. This journey is part of the Bangladesh Studies Programme. Our city kids have the chance to survey the countryside and understand how the country manages to feed a 15 crore population. Students also visited Shalbon Vihar, Mainamati Museum and Nilachol Hill.
On the 13th, after a trip to the War Cemetery, students came back. A five hour journey this time! Workbooks have been submitted and a presentation for parents is being prepared. Tentative date for presentation is 24th January, 2012.
