On 25th January a small party set off from the senior building for the 7 hours journey. En route they crossed the Jamuna Bridge and Lalon Shah Bridge, travelling through Pabna to Kushtia. On arrival they received a warm welcome from Dr. Kabir, hospital administrator.

The two day stay covered many visits including Mujibnagar, Kuthibari and Lalon Shah’s Ashram. Highlights included a visit to No Man’s Land on the Indian Border and Mother’s clubs in the villages. It was inspiring to see how IMPACT are helping the mothers to improve the lives of their children. The IMPACT professionals give guidance on health, nutrition, accident prevention and encourage women to create home gardens for extra vitamins.

The two evenings were spent with the hospital staff enjoying badminton and excellent food.  Thank you IMPACT for making the journey a great success.

Class 8, IMPACT has one request for you – please make a big group of visitors next year!
