The Leaders of Tomorrow

SJWS has always promoted students to develop their Interpersonal skills. In today's world our children need to have skills likeDSC 0078 critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, decision making and verbal and nonverbal communication skills to be part of the global community. It is not enough to have good grades only to compete with the world outside. In line with our regular interventions, we have arranged an hour long Leadership Workshop for the students of Classes 6 to 10 on Monday, 3rd December 2018 to expand their capacity. The session was conducted by BYLC, Bangladesh Youth Leadership Centre, country's first leadership institute. The mission of BYLC is to build connections among youth from diverse backgrounds, equip them with leadership skills, and enable them to have high impact in public, private, and civil sectors.

Students were given an interesting task to do in a group where most groups came up with very innovative ideas. There was a lot of excitement among the students to complete the task. Then students came to know-

  • Importance of developing leadership skills in student life for the 21st century
  • How leadership can create an impact on their personal and professional life, especially preparing for higher education
  • The essentials of team dynamics that will help them to be a team player

We hope to arrange sessions like this in future on a regular basis to build up the strength of our students.
