Sir John Wilson School proudly hosted its much-anticipated Annual Show 2024–25 for the Early and Middle Sections with great enthusiasm and flair on Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3, 2025, respectively. This year’s event was especially memorable as it was the first Annual Show to be held in the school’s newly inaugurated, state-of-the-art auditorium, which added a professional and dynamic edge to the entire experience.

A vibrant and joyous atmosphere filled the venue as parents, teachers, and students gathered to celebrate creativity and achievement. The impressive turnout of proud parents and grandparents, beaming with pride, elevated the energy in the auditorium, creating a truly festive occasion.

The stage came alive with a dazzling variety of performances—engaging dramas, lively musicals, captivating dances, melodious songs, and charming ramp walks. Each act was a testament to the students’ confidence, dedication, and hard work, drawing enthusiastic applause and appreciation from the audience.

The performances were thoughtfully themed around the beauty of the seasons, global festivals, cultural values, and life lessons, beautifully weaving together Bangladeshi and international traditions. These artistic presentations not only entertained but also conveyed important messages about unity, respect, and resilience, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.

Celebrating Milestones: KG II Graduation Ceremony 2024-25

The KG II Graduation Ceremony for the academic year 2024-25 was held with warmth and pride at Sir John Wilson School, marking a significant milestone in the lives of the young learners. The event took place in the school auditorium and was attended by the Principal, Ms Sabrina Shaheed, Vice Principal, Ms Amina Ramzi, and an enthusiastic gathering of proud parents, grandparents and teachers.

The ceremony began with a heartfelt welcome from the Master of Ceremonies, setting the tone for a day full of joy and celebration. The young graduates then took part in the Graduation Walk, entering gracefully alongside their class teachers, to applause and smiles from the audience—a moment of pride and excitement for all present.

Adding to the festive spirit, Class 1 students delighted the audience with vibrant song and dance performances, showcasing their energy and talent. A few of the graduates also took the stage to share their reflections on their Early Years, giving the event a deeply personal and touching note.

Each student received a graduation certificate, with special recognitions awarded for Outstanding Performance and Best Progress. Photo sessions for each section captured the joy of the occasion, preserving memories for families to cherish.

The audience was then taken on a heartwarming journey through a nostalgic slideshow titled “Memory Lane,” which beautifully highlighted the students’ growth and experiences during their Early Years. This was followed by a gracious Vote of Thanks from the Vice Principal, Ms Amina Ramzi, who expressed sincere gratitude to the parents, teachers, and staff who supported the students on their journey.

The ceremony concluded with the Class 1 Induction Programme, led by the principal. She introduced the next phase of the children’s academic journey, outlining key transitions in the curriculum and classroom environment. Her reassuring words emphasized the school’s continued commitment to nurturing and supporting each child. An interactive Q&A session followed, during which the principal responded to parents’ queries with clarity and warmth.

The celebration ended on a joyful note with refreshments, cheerful photo booth sessions, and the distribution of graduation files—a fitting close to a day filled with pride, laughter, and community spirit.

It was truly a celebration of growth, achievement, and a confident step forward into the next exciting chapter of learning.

Stepping Forward with Pride: Class 4 Graduation Ceremony 2024–25

Sir John Wilson School proudly hosted the Graduation Ceremony for Class 4 on 28th May 2025 in the school auditorium, marking a memorable milestone in the academic journey of the young graduates. The event was graced by proud parents, dedicated teachers, and, of course, the enthusiastic graduates themselves.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome by the Master of Ceremonies, who invited everyone to honour the hard work, dedication, and growth of the Class 4 students. The Graduation Walk served as a heartwarming highlight, as the students made a graceful entrance to applause and smiles, symbolising their transition to the next stage of their education.

An inspiring address by the Principal Ms Sabrina Shaheed followed, in which she commended the students on their accomplishments and sincerely acknowledged the unwavering support of parents and the dedication of teachers. Her speech underscored the importance of teamwork and perseverance in shaping the students' success.

Adding joy and colour to the event were a lively song and a vibrant dance performance by Class 3 students, which received enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Three students then took the stage, delivering heartfelt speeches that reflected on their most cherished moments and lessons learned during their years in the Junior School. Their words resonated deeply with the audience and added an emotional touch to the celebration.

The much-awaited Certificate Distribution Ceremony recognised students not only for academic achievements but also for receiving special awards such as Outstanding Performance and Best Progress. The certificates were presented by the Principal and Vice Principal in a dignified and celebratory atmosphere.

A moving slideshow titled "Journey Through Memory Lane" captured the students’ growth, friendships, and memorable experiences, bringing smiles on faces.

The event concluded with the official opening of the Class 5 Induction Programme, where the principal introduced students and parents to the new opportunities and responsibilities that lie ahead in the Senior School. She emphasized the importance of balancing freedom with responsibility and gave an overview of the diverse activities and academic expectations awaiting the students. An interactive Q&A session provided clarity and reassurance, fostering confidence as families prepare for this next chapter.

A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by the Vice Principal, Ms Amina Ramzi expressing gratitude to all who supported the students throughout their journey.

The celebrations wrapped up with refreshments, photo sessions at the photo booth, and students collecting their graduation files—a perfect ending to a day filled with pride, joy, and community spirit.

It was truly a celebration of growth, achievement, and a confident step into the future.

Student Presentation – A Celebration of Confidence & Communication

Sir John Wilson School proudly hosted the Student Presentation Initiative for Classes 1 to 4 on Sunday, 18 May, and Monday, 19 May 2025, at the United City Campus, Satarkul.

The event aimed to nurture essential life skills such as public speaking, creativity, and effective communication, empowering young learners to express themselves with clarity and confidence.

Students participated with great enthusiasm, delivering two-minute speeches on a wide range of topics that beautifully blended academic learning with personal interests. Their presentations were enhanced by creative visual aids—including models, charts, experiments, and educational games—which made each performance engaging and unique.

Throughout the event, students confidently shared their ideas and knowledge. Parents visited the presentations, and their presence and encouragement created a warm, supportive environment that strengthened the bond between home and school. The atmosphere was lively and interactive.

The Principal, Ms. Sabrina Shaheed, Vice Principal, Ms. Amina Ramzi, teachers, and staff members applauded the students’ efforts and expressed appreciation for the invaluable support provided by parents. The dedication of the teachers in preparing and guiding the students was clearly evident.

The Student Presentation Initiative was a resounding success, providing a meaningful platform for students to grow as confident communicators and highlighting the school’s commitment to holistic education. The school plans to continue organising such presentations in the near future as well.

A Joyful Start: Playgroup Orientation Day 2025–26

Sir John Wilson School joyfully welcomed Playgroup parents and children for the academic year 2025–26 on Saturday, 10 May 2025, during the much-anticipated Orientation Day, marking the beginning of an exciting new journey at the Satarkul Campus. The Multipurpose Hall buzzed with cheerful energy as families arrived to colourful decorations, a fun photo booth, and videos showcasing our vibrant early years events. The orientation programme was held in the school’s purpose-built auditorium.

The programme opened with a warm welcome from the MC, followed by an engaging performance by current Playgroup students. Principal Ms. Sabrina Shaheed and Vice Principal Ms. Amina Ramzi welcomed the parents with heartfelt speeches. Both shared valuable information about the school’s facilities and approach, helping parents feel confident and connected. A lively Q&A session provided an opportunity for open conversation and helpful insights.

Afterward, parents and children enjoyed interactive activities together. The event concluded with a school tour, refreshments, and a visit to the gift booth, sending everyone home with smiles and warm memories.

Orientation Day was a wonderful celebration of community, care, and curiosity, setting the tone for a bright year ahead in Playgroup 2025–26.
